EOS/EOL Report in NCM

The end of sale (EOS)/end of life (EOL) report in Site24x7 Network Configuration Manager (NCM) provides visibility into device lifecycle statuses, helping IT teams proactively plan device replacements and avoid compliance risks.

Use cases

The EOS/EOL Report provides insight into the lifecycle status of your network devices. This is vital for proactive network planning, compliance, and risk reduction. Here are some example use cases:

1. Lifecycle planning and asset refresh: Identify devices nearing their end-of-support dates and prioritize hardware refreshes to prevent unplanned downtime.

2. Compliance and audit readiness: Use the report to justify upgrades and stay compliant with industry standards.

3. Risk management: Reduce security and operational risks by identifying unsupported devices that may not receive critical patches. Flag obsolete firmware and plan for migration.

4. Budget forecasting: Plan CapEx spending with visibility into upcoming EOS/EOL impacts.
