Unmonitored devices in network monitoring

The Unmonitored Devices page in Site24x7 lists devices that are not yet monitored as network devices but are already contributing data through network configuration management (NCM) or NetFlow monitoring. This view helps you quickly identify such devices and bring them under complete monitoring. From here, you can add them as full monitors either individually or in bulk.

Use case

This feature ensures that:

  • Devices already associated with NCM or NetFlow are not overlooked.
  • You maintain complete visibility into device health, performance, and traffic.
  • All relevant devices are consistently monitored in Site24x7.

Viewing unmonitored devices

  1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  2. Navigate to Network > Unmonitored Devices.
  3. The following columns are displayed in the Unmonitored Devices tab:
    • Display Name: The name of the device.
    • IP Address: The device IP address.
    • Host Name: The hostname of the device.
    • NCM Monitoring: Shows whether NCM monitoring is enabled (Enabled or Not Enabled).
    • NetFlow Monitoring: Shows whether NetFlow monitoring is enabled (Enabled or Not Enabled).

Adding devices for monitoring

You can convert unmonitored devices into monitored devices easily from this page.

Adding devices individually

  1. Find the device you want to monitor.
  2. Click the plus icon + in the right-most section of the row.
  3. The device will be added as a monitor and removed from this page.

Add devices in bulk

  1. Select multiple devices using the check boxes in the left-most column.
  2. Click the Add button in the top-right corner and provide the required details.
  3. The selected devices will be added as monitors.
Note

Check the Unmonitored Devices page regularly to make sure no critical device remains only partially monitored.
