Featured request: Deacativate ICMP Ping in RCA reports

Hello team,

because of firewall and sequrity reasons our servers does not allow ping request. It would be nice if we could have the possiblity to deactivate the "ping analysis" inside the root clause analysis reports.
Problem is if monitor is identified as down, RCA report will be generated and try to get ping information from our servers.
This will fail for sequrity reason and will result into "false" values inside the RCA report. The ping analysis will always fail.

It would be nice if we could activate/deactivate the ping analysis manually for the RCA reports. So some configuration setting would be needed to control this.

As of now we don't allow any customization under our RCA report.

We will include this in our RCA enhancements and add to our road map.

Can you let me know how useful is our RCA reports are for debugging any problem ? Also i would like to know if any other diagnostic information inclusion could be useful to you.

Thanks

Hello Raghavan,

thats sounds good. Thank you for that.

Your RCA reports are very usefull for us. We are using them to see all relevant data to check for the Problems in one overview mail or page.

Traceroute and Domain Analysis should be enough for us. With that Information we could check if it is a Routing Problem outside of our Environment or dns Problem or application Problem.
