Traditional DNS queries are transmitted without encryption, making them vulnerable to interception and exposing sensitive DNS information. As organizations increasingly adopt encrypted DNS protocols to enhance security, monitoring the availability and performance of these services becomes equally important.
To address this, we have introduced DNS over HTTPS (DoH) support in DNS Server monitors. You can now validate the availability and performance of DoH-enabled DNS services while protecting monitoring queries and responses with HTTPS encryption.

Getting started
To start monitoring your DoH-enabled DNS services, configure a DNS Server monitor in Site24x7.
- Open your existing DNS Server monitor or add a new one.
- Configure the monitor by adding the domain and a DoH-supported name server.
- Save the configuration to monitor DNS availability, response times, and resolution results over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
